Security Officer Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol designated areas to deter and prevent unauthorized entry or activities
• Conduct thorough security checks and inspections of vehicles, personnel, and equipment
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and incidents in a timely and efficient manner
• Communicate with law enforcement and emergency services as required
• Document and report all security-related incidents and observations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date security records
• Adhere to all company security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with other security personnel and departments as needed

Security Officer Job Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in security operations, ideally in a similar industry
• Strong understanding of security principles and best practices
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observational skills
• Vigilance, attention to detail, and ability to work independently
• Physical fitness and ability to perform standing, walking, and patrolling duties
• Valid SIA license (Security Industry Authority)
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
