Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and vigilant Security Officer to join our team and enhance the safety and security of our premises in Northampton. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security operations, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and maintain a strong sense of professionalism and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

Monitor and patrol assigned areas, detecting and deterring potential threats
Enforce company security policies and procedures, including access control and surveillance
Respond effectively to security incidents, such as alarms, suspicious activity, or emergencies
Conduct thorough security inspections and report any vulnerabilities or concerns
Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed
Provide excellent customer service and assist staff and visitors in a safe and courteous manner
Maintain accurate logs and documentation, including incident reports and security assessments
Stay abreast of industry best practices and advancements in security technologies

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in security operations
Strong knowledge of security regulations and protocols
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical fitness and ability to work long hours in a demanding environment
Valid SIA badge or willingness to obtain one
Clean criminal record
First Aid and CPR certification preferred
