Job Title: Full-Time Security Officer

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and responsible Full-Time Security Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises in Aviemore and its occupants.

 

Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras, surveillance equipment, and access points
• Conduct patrols to deter crime, theft, and vandalism
• Check identification, screen individuals, and maintain visitor logs
• Handle incidents promptly and efficiently, including summoning emergency services as necessary
• Document security events, incidents, and observations in writing and electronically
• Maintain a secure environment by enforcing rules and regulations
• Report suspicious activities, breaches of security, or potential hazards
• Keep detailed logs of all incidents, activities, and tasks performed
• Collaborate with management, law enforcement, and emergency responders
• Stay abreast of security best practices and technology

 

Qualifications

• Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent certification
• Previous work experience as a Security Officer preferred
• Strong understanding of security principles, procedures, and legal compliance
• Exceptional observation, attention to detail, and analytical thinking skills
• Proficient in using security equipment (cameras, alarms, intercoms)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution abilities
• Physically capable of standing and walking for extended periods
• Must be able to pass a background check
