Full-Time Security Officer | Bibury, Cirencester

Overview

SODEXO Ltd. is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Full-time Security Officer to join our team in Bibury, Cirencester. The successful candidate will be responsible for securing our facilities, enforcing regulations, and creating a safe and comfortable work environment for our employees and visitors.

Responsibilities

Monitor and secure designated areas using CCTV, door access controls, and alarm systems
Patrol and inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment regularly to identify potential hazards and breaches
Respond promptly to alarms, suspicious activities, and emergencies
Enforce company policies and procedures, including access control and visitor management
Conduct thorough searches and screenings of persons and vehicles entering or leaving the premises
Issue parking tickets and enforce traffic regulations
Maintain detailed logs and reports of all security-related activities and incidents
Assist law enforcement and emergency responders as needed
Work independently and as part of a team
Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor while interacting with employees, visitors, and the general public

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Valid UK Security Industry Authority (SIA) license or the ability to obtain one within 3 months of hire
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a security officer role
Knowledge of security protocols, procedures, and equipment
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Physical fitness and ability to work in inclement weather
Basic knowledge of fire and safety procedures
Attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility
