Full time Security Officer in Glasgow

We are currently seeking a diligent and professional Security Officer to join our team in Glasgow. As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols to detect and deter unauthorized activities on the premises.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to respond quickly to security risks.
• Respond effectively to emergencies such as medical incidents, fire alarms and security breaches.
• Enforce established security protocols and company policies to maintain compliance and safety standards.
• Assist visitors and employees by addressing inquiries and concerns.
• Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services when necessary to address security incidents.
• Participate in training programs to enhance security skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience in security, law enforcement or related fields is preferred but not required.
• A valid security license or the ability to obtain one is necessary.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to remain composed under pressure and strong problem-solving abilities are necessary.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
• Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods are necessary.
• Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures is advantageous.
• Valid SIA License, proof of the right to work in the UK, proof of address, and 5 years of employment history are required.
