Shifts: 12 hours per day, then four-on, four-off shift pattern.  

Job Description:

We are searching a diligent and vigilant individual to join our team as a Security Officer in Hereford. As a Security Officer, you will play an important role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises, employees, and visitors. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute significantly to maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect any unauthorized activity.
2. Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to promptly identify and respond to security threats.
3. Respond promptly and effectively to emergencies, including medical incidents, fire alarms, and security breaches.
4. Enforce security protocols and company policies to ensure compliance and maintain safety standards.
5. Provide assistance and support to visitors and employees, including answering inquiries and addressing concerns.
6. Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
7. Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed to address security incidents.
8. Participate in training programs to enhance security skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred but not required.
2. Possession of a valid security license or the ability to obtain one.
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
7. Physical fitness and the ability to stand or walk for extended periods.
8. Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response procedures is an advantage.
