Full Time Security Officer in Linton

Description Overview

EarnFlex Ltd. is seeking an experienced Full-Time Security Officer to join our team at our Linton, Palmerston North facility (Post Code: 4820). The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety, security, and protection of our personnel, assets, and property.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough security assessments and develop proactive safety measures
• Monitor security cameras, alarm systems, and access points to deter unauthorized entry
• Patrol the facility, respond to security incidents, and investigate potential threats
• Conduct background checks, verify identities, and enforce company security protocols
• Maintain accurate security logs, incident reports, and other administrative documentation
• Escort authorized visitors, contractors, and staff as required
• Assist in the enforcement of workplace rules, regulations, and emergency evacuation procedures
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, security trends, and technological advancements
• Maintain a professional demeanor and provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2-3 years of proven experience in a security role
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observation skills
• Strong ability to work independently, follow instructions, and operate effectively in a team setting
• Familiarity with security equipment, surveillance techniques, and access control systems
• Current security license (or eligibility to obtain one)
• First Aid certification and knowledge of emergency response protocols
• Physical fitness to carry out demanding tasks and work long hours
