Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and highly vigilant Security Officer to provide comprehensive security services at our facility in Lockerbie. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of staff, visitors, property, and assets.

 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the facility, ensuring only authorized individuals are permitted entry
• Patrol designated areas, both internally and externally
• Respond promptly to alarms and security breaches, taking appropriate action to mitigate and prevent further risk
• Conduct comprehensive security assessments and implement preventative measures
• Report on security incidents, unusual occurrences, and safety concerns
• Provide customer service to employees and visitors, promoting a safe and welcoming environment
• Adhere to all relevant security protocols, policies, and procedures
• Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency services as required
• Maintain accurate logs and documentation related to security activities

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2 years' proven experience in security operations
• Strong understanding of security protocols, best practices, and industry standards
• Excellent communication, reporting, and interpersonal skills
• Physical fitness and ability to perform standing, walking, running, and lifting duties
• Proficient in using two-way radio, closed-circuit television (CCTV) equipment, and access control systems
• Clean background check required
• Valid UK driving license and vehicle for commuting purposes
