Job Description:

We are looking for a professional and vigilant Security Officer to join our team in Penzance. As a Security Officer, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety and security of our facilities, employees, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

- Conduct regular patrols to prevent and detect any unauthorized activities on the premises.

- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to potential security threats.

- Respond promptly and effectively to situations such as medical emergencies, fire alarms, and security breaches.

- Enforce security processes and company rules to ensure compliance and meet safety standards.

- Address visitors' and employees' questions and concerns.

- Create comprehensive incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related actions.

- Collaborate with local law enforcement and emergency services as needed to handle security issues.

- Participate in training programs to enhance security skills and stay updated on industry best practices.

Job Requirements:

- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or related industries is recommended but not necessary.

- Possession of a current security license or the ability to obtain one.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to remain calm under pressure and strong problem-solving skills.

- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Physical stamina and the ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.

- Knowledge of basic first aid and emergency response methods is beneficial.

- Valid SIA license, proof of right to work in the UK, proof of address, and 5 years of work experience.
