Full Time Security Officer in Polebrook, Peterborough

Overview:

EarnFlex Ltd., a reputable company in Polebrook, Peterborough, seeks a full-time Security Officer to enhance the safety and security of its premises. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining order, deterring crime, and responding to security emergencies.

Responsibilities:

Monitor and patrol the company premises, including buildings, parking lots, and surrounding areas
Control and screen visitors, employees, and contractors, checking identification and issuing access passes
Inspect security systems and equipment to ensure proper operation and report any malfunctions
Respond promptly to security emergencies, including alarms, fires, and medical incidents
Document and report security incidents and observations in writing
Maintain a visible presence and act as a deterrent to crime
Cooperate with law enforcement and emergency services as necessary
Adhere to all company policies and procedures related to security and safety
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent qualification
Previous experience as a Security Officer preferred
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observation skills
Strong physical presence and fitness
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficient in the use of security equipment, including CCTV cameras and access control systems
Knowledge of security best practices and emergency procedures
Valid SIA badge or willingness to obtain one within a specified timeframe
Clean criminal record and ability to pass background checks
