Full Time Security Officer in Sanquhar

EarnFlex Ltd is seeking a highly motivated and professional Full-Time Security Officer to join our team at our Sanquhar site. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our employees, assets, and premises.

Overview

Reporting to the Site Manager, the Security Officer will be responsible for:

• Monitoring and patrolling the site perimeter and interior to deter unauthorized entry
• Enforcing safety protocols, such as fire and evacuation procedures
• Responding to emergencies and accidents in a timely and effective manner
• Operating surveillance equipment and reporting any suspicious activities
• Conducting background checks and managing access control systems
• Interacting with visitors, contractors, and employees in a professional manner

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular patrols of the site and inspect buildings, gates, windows, and doors
• Operate security systems, including CCTV cameras, alarm systems, and access control devices
• Respond to alarms, emergencies, and suspicious incidents
• Document all security-related activities, including observations, incidents, and investigations
• Monitor and report any breaches of security or safety protocols
• Enforce safety regulations and ensure compliance with fire codes and evacuation procedures
• Assist with crowd control and event management as needed
• Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor with visitors, contractors, and staff

Qualifications

• SIA-approved security license
• Proven experience as a Security Officer in a commercial or industrial environment
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution skills
• Strong observational and analytical abilities
• Physical fitness and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Proficiency in using security equipment and surveillance systems
• Basic first aid knowledge is desirable
