Stroud Security Officer Job Description

We are seeking a diligent and professional Security Officer to join our team in Stroud. Your major role as a Security Officer will be to ensure the safety and security of our properties, workers, and visitors.

Key responsibilities:

- Conduct regular patrols to dissuade and identify any unauthorised activity on the premises.

- Consistently monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems for any potential security risks.

- Respond efficiently and quickly to situations such as medical events, fire alarms, and security breaches.

- Enforce security measures and company rules to maintain compliance and safety requirements.

- Assist and support visitors and staff by responding to requests and concerns.

- Create full incident reports and keep accurate records of security-related actions.

- Work with local law enforcement and emergency agencies to address security incidents.

- Attend training programmes to improve security skills and stay current on industry best practices.
 

Job Requirements:

- Prior experience with security, law enforcement, or related fields is preferred but not essential.

- Possession of a current security licence or the capacity to obtain one.

- Superior communication and interpersonal abilities.

- Ability to maintain composure under pressure and great problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work many shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

- Physical fitness, including the capacity to stand or walk for lengthy periods of time.

- Understanding basic first aid and emergency response methods is useful.

- A valid SIA licence, proof of right to work in the UK, proof of address, and five years of employment experience.
