Description Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Torquay. The successful candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our premises and assets, maintaining a secure and orderly environment, and responding to emergencies as necessary.

 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect suspicious activities
• Monitor surveillance systems, including CCTV cameras, to identify potential threats
• Screen visitors, contractors, and employees at entry points
• Respond to alarms and other security incidents promptly and effectively
• Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches or suspicious activities
• Prepare and maintain daily activity logs and incident reports
• Maintain a clean and orderly security office
• Adhere to all company security policies and procedures
• Work effectively as part of a team and provide support to other security personnel
• Stay up-to-date with the latest security technologies and best practices

 

Qualifications:

• SIA-approved Security Officer License (Level 2 or higher)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Officer in a similar environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and a high level of situational awareness
• Ability to work independently and under pressure
• Proficient in the use of surveillance equipment and security technology
• First aid certification and CPR training
• Physical fitness and ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends
