Full time Security Officer in York

Job Overview:

EarnFlex Ltd. seeks a highly motivated and experienced Full-time Security Officer to join our team at our office location in York. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the safety and security of our premises and personnel.

 

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and patrol the building, grounds, and perimeter to prevent unauthorized access or activity
• Respond promptly to emergencies and breaches of security protocols
• Inspect security equipment, including cameras, alarms, and access control systems, to ensure proper functionality
• Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols, observing for suspicious individuals or activities
• Assist with access control, issuing passes and escorting visitors
• Report all security incidents and suspicious observations to management
• Enforce company security policies and procedures
• Collaborate with law enforcement and other security personnel as needed
• Maintain detailed security logs and documentation
• Receive and respond to security-related phone calls and messages

 

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Security Officer in a similar setting
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
• Strong physical condition and ability to work in various weather conditions
• Proficient in the use of security equipment, such as CCTV cameras and access control systems
• Basic knowledge of fire safety and emergency response procedures
• Valid driving license and clean driving record
• SIA badge or willingness to obtain one
