Security Officer in Cork

Overview

This full-time, on-site position is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and protection of the company's property, personnel, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce security protocols to prevent unauthorized access, vandalism, and other threats
• Monitor CCTV cameras and other security systems to detect suspicious activity
• Conduct routine patrols of the premises and surrounding areas to identify and mitigate potential risks
• Respond promptly to security emergencies and provide appropriate assistance
• Enforce company policies and procedures related to access control, visitor management, and parking
• Prepare and maintain daily reports on security incidents and activities
• Collaborate with local law enforcement and security contractors as necessary
• Stay informed about security best practices and technologies
• Assist with other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Security Officer in a commercial or corporate setting
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and a keen eye for observation
• Physically fit and able to perform security-related duties
• Knowledge of security protocols and best practices
• Current security license and first aid certification
• Clean criminal record
