Job Description: Security Officer in Kingston upon Thames

We are currently in search of a diligent and proactive individual to join our team as a Security Officer in Kingston upon Thames. The Security Officer will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, visitors, and staff. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle various security situations effectively.

The Security Officer will be responsible for the following:

- Conducting regular patrols of the premises to deter and detect unauthorized activity
- Monitoring surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify and respond to security threats
- Controlling access to the premises, ensuring only authorized individuals enter the facility
- Responding promptly to security incidents, emergencies, and alarms, following established protocols
- Collaborating with local law enforcement and emergency services as necessary
- Providing excellent customer service to clients, visitors, and employees
- Enforcing company policies and procedures related to security and safety
- Completing thorough and accurate incident reports documenting security-related events
- Conducting routine inspections to identify and address security vulnerabilities
- Assisting with the implementation of security measures and protocols

The ideal candidate for this position should possess the following qualifications:

- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Physical fitness and the ability to stand, walk, and lift objects if necessary.
- Familiarity with security systems and surveillance equipment is preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A valid security license or certification may be required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
