Security Officer Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol assigned areas, including buildings, parking lots, and perimeter
• Respond promptly to security incidents and emergencies
• Conduct access control, including verifying identification and issuing passes
• Maintain security systems, such as CCTV cameras, alarms, and door locks
• Enforce company security policies and procedures
• Report security concerns and incidents to management
• Assist with investigations and provide testimony as needed
• Provide customer service and support to employees and visitors
• Keep detailed logs and records of all security activities

Security Officer Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience as a Security Officer
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and situational awareness
• Knowledge of security protocols and procedures
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Valid SIA license (or ability to obtain one)
• First Aid and CPR certification preferred
