Security Officer in Motherwell

Description Overview:

We're looking for a highly motivated and diligent security officer to join our team in Motherwell. The successful candidate will be in charge of protecting and monitoring our client's facilities and assets while also assuring the safety and well-being of employees, visitors, and the general public.

Responsibilities:

• Access to the facility and adjacent regions is monitored and controlled utilising electronic security systems, CCTV, and physical obstacles.
• Conduct routine patrols on the premises to detect suspicious activities, risks, and violations of security.
• Respond quickly to alarms and security breaches by developing proper response processes.
• Enforce firm security regulations and procedures, such as escorting visitors and staff.
• Record security events, observations, and investigations.
• Effectively communicate with law enforcement, emergency services, and other security personnel.
• Use security devices and keep a full record of activity.
• Ensure the safety of employees, visitors, and property during emergencies.
• Provide customer assistance and respond to inquiries and requests.
• Comply with all required health and safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• SIA (Security Industry Authority) licence or equivalent
• Requirements: - At least 2 years of experience as a security officer - Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities
• Proficient in operating security equipment and systems.
• Demonstrates exceptional awareness and attention to detail, as well as physical stamina.
• Understanding of health and safety procedures.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Clean driver's licence
