Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team in Oxford. The successful candidate will be responsible for protecting our premises, assets, and personnel while ensuring a safe and secure environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and patrol designated areas to ensure the safety of property, staff, and visitors
• Respond promptly to alarms, security breaches, and emergencies
• Check identification, issue passes, and screen visitors entering and exiting the facility
• Conduct security inspections of vehicles, packages, and personal belongings
• Enforce company security protocols and procedures
• Report suspicious activities, security breaches, and incidents to supervisors and law enforcement
• Provide customer service and assist visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Maintain detailed records of all security-related incidents

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• 2+ years of proven experience as a Security Officer in a commercial or institutional setting
• Excellent physical fitness and stamina
• Exceptional attention to detail and observational skills
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities
• Familiarity with security equipment, including CCTV systems and alarm panels
• Experience in working in a fast-paced and demanding environment
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• SIA (Security Industry Authority) certification or equivalent preferred
