Overview:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Redesmouth in Hexham, UK. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, assets, and personnel.

Responsibilities:

• Patrol the assigned premises, both internally and externally, to deter unauthorized access or suspicious activities
• Monitor security systems, including cameras, sensors, and access control equipment
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, assess the situation, and take appropriate action
• Enforce security policies and procedures, including access control, visitor management, and safety regulations
• Conduct security checks, screen individuals, and inspect vehicles entering or leaving the premises
• Report security breaches, incidents, and suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities and management
• Maintain accurate records of all security activities, including patrol logs, incident reports, and access logs
• Participate in security audits and training programs
• Work closely with other members of the security team, law enforcement, and emergency responders
• Provide a professional and courteous demeanor to visitors, employees, and members of the public

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Security Officer in a similar setting
• Excellent knowledge of security principles, protocols, and equipment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle emergency situations calmly and effectively
• Valid UK Security Industry Authority (SIA) license
• First Aid certification (desirable)
• Physical fitness to perform the duties of the role

• The position is full-time, and the applicant must be willing to work extended hours when necessary
